IT Consulting & Assessments in Surrey

A clear picture of what you have, what is at risk and what to fix first, plus a technology roadmap that matches your budget and plans.

// Overview

Know Where You Stand Before You Spend

Most technology decisions in a growing business get made one emergency at a time: a new laptop when the old one dies, a quick fix when the server slows down. Over a few years that adds up to an IT setup nobody fully understands, with risks nobody has written down.

Our IT consulting starts with a free IT assessment of your devices, network, Microsoft 365, backups and security. You get a plain-English report with a red, amber and green rating for each area and the fixes in order of priority. From there, we can build a technology roadmap and budget, act as your virtual CIO in quarterly reviews, or support your in-house IT person with co-managed IT.

// What we look at

What the Free IT Assessment Covers

  • Devices: age, warranty, Windows version, encryption and patch status.
  • Network: firewall, switches, Wi-Fi coverage and remote access.
  • Microsoft 365: licences, MFA, admin accounts and sharing settings.
  • Backups: what is backed up, where, and whether it restores.
  • Security: email protection, endpoint security and staff awareness.
  • Documentation: passwords, vendors and who to call.

// What you get back

  • Red

    Fix now: risks that could stop the business or expose data.

  • Amber

    Plan for: items to address in the next 3 to 6 months.

  • Green

    Fine as is: what’s working and doesn’t need money spent.

  • Plan

    A proposal with one monthly price, if you want us to take it from there.

// Why us

Why Start With an Assessment

No obligation

The assessment and report are yours to keep, whether or not you work with us.

Priorities, not a sales list

Fixes are ordered by risk and cost, and we tell you which ones you can do yourself.

Budget clarity

You see one-time costs and monthly costs separately, before you commit to anything.

Plain-English report

Written for owners and managers, not just for IT people.

// Process

How Getting Started Works

The same four steps for every new client, whichever service you start with.

  1. Assess

    A free IT assessment: devices, network, Microsoft 365, backups and security, rated red, amber or green.

  2. Plan

    A written proposal with one monthly price, response targets, what’s included and a list of fixes in priority order.

  3. Onboard

    We secure accounts and backups first, document everything, then install monitoring. Usually two to four weeks.

  4. Support & improve

    Day-to-day help desk and onsite support, plus regular reviews so your IT keeps up with the business.

// FAQ

IT Consulting & Assessments Questions

What does the free IT assessment involve?

A short call about your business, then a visit or remote review of your computers, network, Microsoft 365, backups and security. It usually takes one to two hours of your time in total. You get a written summary with priorities.

What is a virtual CIO?

A vCIO is a senior IT advisor who meets with you regularly, usually quarterly, to plan budgets, review risks and keep your technology aligned with the business, without the cost of a full-time executive.

We already have an IT person. Can you still help?

Yes. Co-managed IT gives your in-house person tools, back-up and a team to call on, so they can focus on projects instead of password resets.
